One goal of my research is to develop links between social psychology and emotion psychology to better understand organizational behavior. Specifically, I am interested in investigating the social identity and emotion processes shaping individuals’ reactions to diversity in organizational contexts. In my work I draw on social identity and self-categorization theories, intergroup emotion theory, cognitive appraisal theories of emotion and on research on reactions to affirmation action and workgroup diversity functioning.
